A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY: FUNDRAISING UPDATE

On behalf of the Store Manager, Team Members and Directors of Rusper Village Stores, can I say a big thank you to everyone who has helped with fundraising for the shop.

We are immensely grateful for all of the support we continue to receive in what is a very difficult period for the business. In addition to the expenses of the two break-ins, the extra cost of insurance and additional security is presenting a big challenge for us.

On top of this, the power outages in the village caused electrical failures in fuses, compressor valves and the digital controllers for the new fridges and freezers, all of which cost over a further £3000 to repair and replace.

We still await confirmation that some form of external shutters will gain approval from the planning authorities, and while the cost of these remains to be finalised, we do know it will be substantial.

Thank you for your continued support, and please bear with us while we aim to get back to a financial even keel….
